Symmetric WSSP is limited to a fixed envelope in the aircraft’s control limits. The symmetric setting can vary from neutral (0) to a maximum positive value of +4.0, and the negative side is not part of this limit. In other words, the allowable symmetric range is 0 up to +4.0 because the system’s design and certification specify that this parameter only progresses in the positive direction for symmetric operation. Going into negative values would fall outside the defined envelope and could compromise handling or structural limits. That’s why 0 to +4.0 is the correct range.
